Penguins dealing with worst case scenario with this Sidney Crosby injure update
This morning Penguins' Head Coach, Mike Sullivan confirmed that Sidney Crosby was not going to be in the lineup for tonight's Game 6 in Pittsburgh. Sullivan refuses to provide any additional information at the time other than that Crosby was skating before practice.
But Emily Kaplan of The Athletic has uncovered the truth and it's not good news for Crosby or the Penguins.
As I reported on The Point, multiple sources have confirmed Sidney Crosby has a concussion.
Obviously a positive sign he skated this morning, but given the nature of head injuries, it's unfair to speculate when he may return.
The news creates some serious questions for the Penguins, especially given Crosby's concussion history. This would mark the 4th concussion of Crosby's career. Over his career he has missed over 100 games with concussion issues. Even the slightest concussion at this point should be concerning for both Crosby and the Penguins.
