On Monday there were reports that Hockey Hall of Famer Mike Bossy had passed away. Bossy has been battling cancer but reports of his passing were premature. The reports unfortunately came from the Spittin' Chiclets crew, who later issued an apology for their tweet.
On Monday his family contacted the media and confirmed that Mike Bossy was still alive. However, has been moved to palliative care.
Contrary to rumors, Mike Bossy's family confirms to @TVASports that he is still at home surrounded by his loved ones and that he continues his fight against cancer. They thank those who support him in these difficult times and wish to respect his privacy.
It does appear that Mike Bossy is in his final moments, but for now he is still fighting. Thoughts and prayers to the family.
