If Tuesday night's game between the Nashville Predators and Calgary Flames was any indication of what a playoff series between the two would look like, it's going to be a lot of fun. Milan Lucic was already getting into playoff mode and made his physical presence known.
Lucic fought Mark Borowiecki in the first period. He then assisted on the 3rd goal at the beginning of the third period. Then at the end of the third period, he laid a massive hit on Nashville's Matt Duchene. There was so much force it knocked of Duchene's helmet.
Lucic was given a 2-minute minor for interference on the play. It will be interesting to see if Player Safety takes a look at this hit as it was late and likely resulted from an earlier altercation between Matt Duchene and Matthew Tkachuk.
It was big night for Lucic and the Flames as they won in overtime. It was a fun game and I hope these two teams meet in the playoffs.
