Montreal Canadiens release video revealing why they selected Juraj Slafkovsky
The Montreal Canadiens surprised a lot of people when they selected Juraj Slafkovsky 1st overall in this year's NHL Draft. While many expected Shane Wright to be selected 1st, that clearly wasn't the case.
While many wondered the logic behind this pick, the Canadiens were steadfast in their belief it was the fight choice. Now the Canadiens have released a video sharing the decision making process.
It's clear the Canadiens were blown away by Slafkovsky's ability and poise at his age in high leverage situations. This included both the World Championships and the Olympics. Only time will tell if the Habs made the right choice.
