NHL analyst issues warning to Toronto Maple Leafs as they prepare for retribution for injured teammate
The Toronto Maple Leafs have a reputation for being easily pushed around. The team is known for not standing up for one another and never settling scores. Ahead of tonight's matchup against the Boston Bruins, it appears the Maple Leafs fully intend on trying to change that reputation.
Earlier this season in a matchup between the two teams. Brad Marchand injured Leafs' defender Timothy Liljegren with a can opener. The play sent Liljegren into the boards hard, where he suffered a high ankle sprain. He hasn't played since.
On that night, however, Toronto did nothing to settle the score. After the game, multiple players shared how embarrassed they were that they were unable to claim their pound of flesh. Tonight it is expected that the Leafs will now try and settle the score.
At today's morning skate veteran enforcer Ryan Reaves was on the ice in a practice jersey, while rookie Bobby McMan was wearing a grey healthy scratch jersey.

Full morning skate today.
@BodogCA By dressing Reaves it is already clear that the Leafs intend on taking part in a more physical game. But Ken Campbell of The Hockey News had a warning for the Leafs ahead of tonight's game.
If the Toronto Maple Leafs are indeed plotting their revenge against Brad Marchand for tomorrow night, they should keep one thing in mind. This is exactly the kind of thing that led to the Bertuzzi-Moore incident. Exactly. So Tyler, don't do what Uncle Todd did.
According to Campbell there is a fear of some behind the scenes that feel tonight's situation could escalate extremely quickly. If things do escalate it the Boston Bruins will be more than happy to oblige the Leafs.
