Nashville Predators prospect suspended indefinitely after video surfaces showing he attacked a fan with his stick
Earlier today news surfaced that Nashville Predators prospect Zachary L'Heureux had reportedly attacked a fan with his stick after a recent loss. The QMJHL announced they had found no credible evidence or unbiased witnesses to corroborate the story. It seemed like L'Heureux had dodges a bullet.
L'Heureux had previously been suspended 8 times, including three for high sticking and two for unsportsmanlike conduct. He has so far been suspended for a total of 27 games so far. After reportedly denying allegations some very damning footage surfaced which disproved everything previously said.
The QMJHL quickly updates their previous stance.
In the absence of any video evidence or unbiased witnesses, the QMJHL will not levy any disciplinary measures following last night's game between the Gatineau Olympiques and the Halifax Mooseheads
The QMJHL issued the following update:
After receiving new video evidence, QMJHL Director of Player Safety, Éric Chouinard, has decided to suspend Halifax Mooseheads forward Zachary L'Heureux indefinitely for incidents that occurred following Wednesday's game in Gatineau, Quebec.
The disciplinary committee will review the evidence over the weekend and announce its decision at a later date.
It's very likely this could mark the end of L'Heureux's junior hockey career as the league is expected to come down hard on the 19-year-old
