Nazem Kadri's asking price is reportedly unchanged and it's starting to get ridiculous
I will never fault a player for trying to get their piece of the pie, but sometimes when you overvalue yourself you end up holding an empty bag. That's exactly what happened to John Klingberg, who left more than $55,000,000 on the table with the Dallas Stars. Now it appears Kadri might be heading down the same route.
With rumours circulating that Kadri may already have a deal in place with the ew York Islanders, that appears to be getting tougher to believe. Especially with the recent report from Larry Brooks about Kadri's asking price.
According to Brooks, Kadri's asking price or $9,000,000 per season remains unchanged. This is difficult to believe that's a number he will manage to receive.
At this time only 7 teams have over $9,000,000 in cap space and only one of those was a playoff team last season. With Kadri wanting to go to a contender and with so many teams having a difficult time moving money, it appears Kadri and his agent are on the clock.
