Nazem Kadri in search of the Gordie Howe Hat Trick drops the mitts with Joel Farabee
Nazem Kadri is have statistically the best season on his entire career, and at the perfect time. Kadri is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season and he's likely priced himself out of Colorado with his strong play.
During tonight's Flyers versus Avalanche game, Kadri tallied an early goal and an assist. The only thing missing for the Gordie Howe Hat Trick was a fight. With the score 6-2 in the 3rd period, Kadri set out to accomplish the task.
On the play Kadri clearly holds Joel Farabee before finally convincing him to drop his gloves. The fight didn't last long but Farabee held his own with the more experienced Kadri.
Both players were assessed 5-minute majors for fighting, while Kadri received an addition 2-minutes for holding on the play.
