Vegas Golden Knights provide update on Brett Howden after scary injury
Last night Brett Howden suffered a very scary injury, during the Golden Knights versus Nashville Predators game. While Howden fell to the ice, Nashville's Filip Forsberg attempted to deliver a hit. Unfortunately the collision sent Howden's head and neck awkwardly into the boards.
Howden was removed from the ice on a stretcher and transported to a local hospital. But today the Vegas Knights provided a very positive update on Howden.
Brett Howden is out of the hospital.
DeBoer said he saw him this morning, and he's sore but nothing broken. He said he's probably out for awhile for.
There was no call on the hit, and Pete DeBoer had the following to say about it:
I thought liberty was taken. He was in a vulnerable position and I thought he got driven into the boards from behind in a dangerous spot. My initial concern was obviously about our player. It was a really dangerous hit, and anytime you see someone get stretchered off your concern is there.
