Last night was as close to a must win game for the Vancouver Canucks as you could get. With thier playoffs hopes on the line, they rolled into Minnesota to play the Wild who were looking to solidify their playoff position.
Things really began to escalate when Vancouver Canucks' defenceman, Luke Schenn would throw a hit on the Minnesota Wild's best player, Kirill Kaprizov. After the hit Kaprizov would head to the bench in some discomfort.
Schenn would remain on the ice for the next faceoff and was chirping with the Wild bench. The Wild decided to reply by sending out Nicolas Deslauriers to handle the situation.
The moment the puck dropped it was on, and the two men would engage in a fairly one sided fight.
Kaprizov would remain in the game scoring his 43rd goal of the season breaking the Minnesota Wild's franchise record for most goals in a season and crushing the Canucks Playoff hopes at the same time.
