Nikita Zaitsev and his father allegedly harass a fan after they post a hilarious meme about the defender
Nikita Zaitsev has struggled mightily this season for the Senators. His defensive play has hit an all-time low and the Senators can't win a game with Zaitsev in the lineup. Fans have been extremely critical of the Russian defender who makes $4,500,000 per season.
One fan in particular thought it would be funny to post a meme about Zaitsev and his play. Instagram user Bruce_Garricrotch shared the following meme about Zaitsev to his account.
The meme just in fun has collected almost 300 likes and was very popular in the Sens fans circles. But it appears it wasn't very popular with Nikita Zaitsev or his father.
Since the posting of the meme both Ivan and Nikita have reached out to the poster. The direct messages from Nikita's father have included insults, while Nikita has tried to, for some reason meet the fan face-to-face.
