Nino Niederreiter, facing disciplinary hearing for slashing Caps' player in the face

With 6:21 remaining in the 1st period, Carolina Hurricanes', Nino Niederreiter was checked along the Washington Capitals bench by Tom Wilson. On the play, Niederreiter lost his helmet inside of the Capitals bench.
After failing to retrieve his lost helmet; He skated back to his bench and decided to slash Axel Jonsson-Fjallby, directly in the face. Jonsson-Fjallby, was sitting on the bench.
Niederreiter, took a 2 minute minor for slashing on the play. He also had previous hearings for similar acts of aggression.
Nino Niederreiter, will have a hearing with the NHL's Department of Player Safety, today.
