The OHL has made a final decision regarding the May 1st game between, the London Knights and Kitchener Rangers, regarding a heavily disputed goal.

Based on a review by the League, an error was made and the play in question should have been ruled a goal for the Rangers as it was directed into the net with a Ranger stick and not a distinct kicking motion of the puck with a skate as ruled.

The OHL concluded the statement regarding the controversial call by fining the Kitchener Rangers $2500 for public comments, violating league policy. The punishment that sounds eerily similar, is when John Tortorella called out the NHL and Toronto for fumbling a goal call in December of 2019.

The goal in question, seen here Petizian and Kitchener absolutely have a legitimate grievance against the league. This was called off by #8 Hamilton bizarrely.

Reading the Twitter comments on the OHL post seems that fans are in agreement with the Kitchener Rangers' frustration, with the bad officiating, which doesn't seem to be an NHL-only problem.

The Rangers will look to defeat the London Knights to secure a series win, after beating the Knights 5-2 in game 6.
