Teams continue to try and finalize their rosters ahead of the 2022/23 season. As teams attempt to become salary compliant the list of players placed on waivers will continue to grow day over day. As players are placed upon waivers other teams will look at the potential options to help solidify their opening day rosters.

Yesterday the Colorado Avalanche placed goaltender Jonas Johansson on waivers for purposes of demoting him to their AHL affiliate. Unfortunately for the Avalanche the Arizona Coyotes had other ideas, claiming the 27-year-old. The Coyotes had reportedly been in the market for a backup goalie and intended to use the waiver wire to fill the roster spot.

The following players cleared waivers:

Michael Carcone, Jean-Sebastien Dea (Arizona)
Andreas Englund, Charles Hudon, Brad Hunt, Josh Jacobs, Spencer Smallman (Colorado)
Austin Wagner (Los Angeles)
Ken Appleby, Richard Panik (New York Islanders)
Turner Elson, C.J. Smith (New York Rangers)

The following players have been placed on waivers today:

Riley Barber, Joseph Cecconi, Rhett Gardner, Benjamin Gleason, Tanner Kero, Jerad Rosburg (Dallas)
Chase Pearson (Detroit)
Connor Bunnaman (Florida)
Tim Gettinger, Andy Welinski (New York Rangers)
Andrew Agozzino, C.J. Suess (San Jose)
Trevor Carrick, Maxime Lagace, Darren Raddysh, Daniel Walcott (Tampa Bay)
Michael Sgarbossa, Hunter Shepard, Riley Sutter, Michael Vecchione (Washington)
Issac Ratcliffe, Linus Sandin (Philadelphia)

Teams will have until noon tomorrow to place a claim on any of these players and it will be announced tomorrow at 2 pm if any have been claimed.
