Philadelphia Flyers have made a decision on whether or not to re-sign young defender
Chuck Fletcher's still making moves as the off-season comes to an end, as one of the last players they plan on extending is Travis Sanheim. The offensive defenseman was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2014 NHL entry draft 17th overall.
Sanheim recently won the Bary Ashbee Trophy for the honor of being the team's top defenseman, along with the Pelle Lindbergh Memorial Trophy as the team's most improved player.
Putting up 7 goals and 31 points, set a record with time on ice this season at (22: 58), and led the Flyers in statistics, defensively in Corsi For percentage, Expected goals for percentage, and Goals for percentage at 5-on-5 strength.
With losing Ryan Ellis to injury, Sanheim will prove to be a key part of the hopeful turnaround with John Tortorella riding the Bench.
