Most times, it takes a rookie some time to adjust to the game at the National Hockey League level, but as the New York Rangers are taking on the Vegas Golden Knights, rookie Will Cuylle is making quite the impression.
Cuylle in his second career NHL game has shown that he's not afraid of a challenge and he won't back down from anything going at it with Golden Knights Keegan Kolesar.
The fight took place at the start of the second period off the opening draw and Cuylle holds his own during a tough scrap. Kolesar is a tougher customer and Cuylle doesn't shy away.
I love when rookies come into the lineup and aren't playing timid or afraid of either the speed or physicality of the game. Sometimes you do what you have to do to stay in the league.
If fan reaction is any indication, the fans and the Rangers coaching staff are liking what they see from Cuylle early on in his career.
