Scary scene in Florida
Hockey is a physical game and injuries do happen from time to time. Unfortunately tonight in Florida it appears goaltender Scott Wedgewood has suffered a serious injury. The injury occured during the second period and Wedgewood would remain down on the ice for several minutes.
The injury occured after Wedgewood made a save, but he would immediately grab his back in pain. Paramedics, trainers and team doctors would all work on Wedgewood before loading him on a stretcher and removing him from the ice.
There is no update at this time on Wedgewood's condition. We will provide updates as they become available. Our thoughts are with Scott Wedgewood at this time.
