Team releases promotional video mocking Reid Boucher's arrest for assaulting a minor
Last year Reid Boucher pled guilty to third-degree criminal sexual conduct. The charge came after the then 17-year-old Boucher admitted to sexually assaulting his 12-year-old billet sister. The judge in the case allowed Boucher to plead down to a third-degree crime, despite his crime not fitting those standards.
Boucher accepted his punishment, but avoid prison time, despite it being justified. After failing to make it in the NHL, Boucher took off to the KHL where he has found limited success. This season Omsk Avangard signed Bouchard and at least one other KHL figured they'd take a shot at Boucher.
Ahead of today's game Traktor released the following video:
In the video a young girl can be seen point out a player in the Avangard jersey. The player closely resembles that of Reid Boucher. Clearly there is zero chill in the KHL.
