Tempers flare after time expires because of a dirty hit by Nikita Kucherov
With less than a minute remaining in a hotly contested game, Nikita Kucherov stepped up on Sebastian Aho. The only problem? Aho never had the puck.
On the play Kucherov was issued a 2-minute penalty for interference, a penalty that he definitely deserved. But upon leaving the penalty box the chirping between Aho and Kucherov continued, to the point that both benches emptied.
Cooler heads ultimately prevailed, but this definitely sets the tone for a potential playoff matchup between these teams.
