Tyson Jost takes a parting shot at the Minnesota Wild after being claimed on waivers
Last week the Minnesota Wild decided to place Tyson Jost on waivers. Jost was never able to find the proper fit after being acquired by the Wild from the Colorado Avalanche at last year's trade deadline. While Jost was given every opportunity to play last season he appeared to fall out of the coach's good books this season.
That was when the Wild, who are capped strapped due to some terrible choices by Bill Guerin, opted to place him on waivers. Jost was claimed by the Buffalo Sabres who have every intention of getting him into the lineup and giving him a chance to succeed.
Just days after being acquired Jost spoke with Mike Harrington about joining the Sabres and about his time in Minnesota.
There's a great young core here (Buffalo) and a lot of great up and coming talent. Watching these guys play it's fun to watch. Their team is exciting. And they've got a really good thing going on here ... so I'm excited to be part of this group.
Jost said he couldn't find much rhythm with #MNWild because it was a team with "a lot of people walking on eggshells." Also aid he didn't watch #Avs Cup run: "To watch them go on and win it, it's definitely tough. You kind of think 'I could have been there.' " #Sabres
A team walking on egg shells doesn't sound like a team that's going to compete for a Stanley Cup, like Bill Guerin had wanted. The Wild currently sit 11th in the West, so maybe Jost is onto something.
