Things have not gone well for the Vancouver Canucks this season, whether it be a lack of team discipline, defensive issues or injuries. It certainly has been a nightmare start and it appears it's just gotten a little worse.

Late in the 1st period, Canucks goaltender and rising star, Thatcher Demko, suffered what appears to be a serious injury. The injury happened on a routine play, but it was clear that Demko was in some serious distress.

Demko appears to grab his side after the Panthers scored their third goal of the game, with the Vancouver defence nowhere to be found it's not at all surprising that he might've pulled something trying to get across the crease. At 26, Demko has already run into some health issues. This season, he's only played in 15 games with a 3-10-2 record and a 3.93 goals against average to go along with an .883 save percentage.

Let's hope for his sake he doesn't miss too much time, but grabbing for your hip, which has been previously surgically repaired Immediately after a play is never good. After the game Bruce Boudreau provided no update on his starting goaltender.
