The Florida Panthers are taking on the New York Islanders tonight on Long Island and things got heated pretty quickly resulting in one of their top defenders leaving the game and not returning.
Islander forward Oliver Wahlstrom poked at a loose puck near at Sergei Bobrovksy. The Panthers and Ekblad took immediate exception and a scrum ensues in the corner.
Wahlstrom fights back and it appears Ekblad's shoulder pops out of its socket. As Wahlstrom yanks down on Ekblad you can see a small pop of his arm.
This is concerning considering Ekblad's injury history and as of right now, he didn't return to the bench to start the second period, but is questionable to return to tonight's game
Let's hope for Ekblad and the Florida Panthers it's not as serious as it appeared and he is able to return before too long
