With the Boston Bruins fighting to get into a wild card sport in the NHL's Eastern Conference, Brad Marchand is not happy with a non-call from last night's game against the New York Rangers.
With an insider suggesting major trades for the Bruins to turn around a not-so-great season, they fell to the New York Rangers 3-2 in regulation.
In a In a post-game locker room interview, Marchand called out the referees after an incident in the third period where a scrum broke out, and he was the only one called for a penalty despite the Rangers' K'Andre Miller tearing off his helmet in the process.
Marchand insisted he had no issue with his roughing call on the play, saying he deserved it. But, he's confused over why Miller wasn't called as well.
Marchand recently made Boston Bruins history by hitting an impressive milestone, but the only thing on his mind right now is his team making it to the post-season.
His team remains tied with the Tampa Bay Lightning with 60 points for the final Eastern Conference wild card sport, but the Bolts have four games in hand.
While Marchand remains the Bruins' captain, there's been plenty of chatter about potentially trading him to make the team better in the future.
