Barclay Goodrow appears to leaves bloody piece of his face on ice
Barclay Goodrow is the type of player who leaves it all on the ice. It appears tonight he may have taken that phrase just a bit too literally. In the first period of tonight's game Goodrow suffers what appears to be a pretty serious injury.
In tonight's game against the Ottawa Senators, Goodrow was struck by a puck. As the puck comes out of the zone teammat K'Andre Miller attempts to keep the puck in the zone. Unfortunately the puck strikes Goodrow in the face and send him immediately to the ice.
On a closed examination, Twitter account Scouting the Refs points out it appears Goodrow may have left a piece of himself on the ice.
This item appears much too small to be a mouthguard and has left fans puzzled. What do you think it is?
Update
The Rangers have announced Goodrow will not return.
