Max Domi the latest target of fans ahead of Dallas Stars Pride Night, but not for what you may think
Yesterday the Dallas Stars promoted their team Pride Night while using a photo of Max Domi. Domi has been very outspoken in support of both Black Lives Matter and LGBTQIA+ rights. However, that's not enough for some fans.
Some fans didn't feel the usage of Domi as an ambassador on Pride Night was a good idea.
The veteran center who has been very outspoken during his career has become an ally and advocate for many causes including the LGBTQ community, Black Lives Matter, and the type 1 diabetes community; especially focused on youth as he's dealt with the disease since he was young and he appears to have become the leader that anyone should be proud to want on their team.
While one can continue to focus on Domi's past transgressions, and sometimes rightfully so, the twenty-eight-year-old continues to grow on and off the ice. Any person that has experienced living as a professional athlete under a microscope would likely admit that in doing so, the stress of always needing to do right and be right can overwhelm and sometimes destroy you, and in this case, Domi has obviously worked hard to repair his image.
