Detroit Red Wings Get Exposed For Ridiculous Ticket Price Increases Planned For Next Season
A well-known Red Wings fan on social media exposed the organization for planned ticket price increases next season of up to 400%, which is leaving fans angry.
Going to games to cheer on your favorite team in person is an experience unlike any other, but the hard truth is that sports are a business, and loyal fans often take the financial hit.
That seems to be what's occurring at Little Caesars Arena, home of the Detroit Red Wings, where a certain section could see a dramatic price increase by as much as 400%.
I made a post about this over the weekend but I wasn't able to talk to a rep about the situation and get more details until today.
The Red Wings have decided to transform the Labatt Blue Club section into another one of the stadium's all-inclusive clubs.
Included in the prices of the tickets will be parking, food and drink. All current season ticket holders in the section will be seeing a near 400% increase in package price next season.
As of right now, there is no plan to grandfather current season ticket holders or to offer any option to opt out of the all-inclusive package.
My rep straight up admitted that this is purely am only making move by the organization and they are aiming for the $200/game price point.
This increase will likely push out almost every current season ticket holder in the section and the organization is offering zero apology or compensation to the loyal fans who have held tickets in the section for years.
This is a disgraceful display of greed and disloyalty to the season ticket holder that have supported them through the years.
If you are a season ticket holder anywhere in the arena you need to call your rep and loudly voice your displeasure with this decision. If they are going to treat us in the LBC this way, you might be next.

One vocal Red Wings fan on social media recently pointed out that season-ticket prices for the Labatt Blue Club are set to soar next year.
The Labatt Blue Club offers something unique for fans: It has spectacular views of the arena, Detroit-themed decor, and a lively social atmosphere.
Meanwhile, a few miles away at Ford Field, Detroit Lions fans have been forced to contend with the same kinds of issues.
Season ticket prices for some seats have gone up as much as 67% this year over last, causing many die-hard fans to rethink going to games.
