Rangers' Adam Edstrom recently suffered a serious injury, and his teammate Matt Rempe spoke about his true feelings regarding all of this.

The "Rempire Towers" have become a presence in the Rangers' lineup, with Sam Carrick anchoring a fourth unit that's produced in terms of scoring. Matt Rempe and Adam Edstrom played strong with each other, a dominant unit.

The last ten games saw Edstrom post four points (3G, 1A), and Rempe post two points (1G, 1A). Not a scorer, Rempe played well recently, at least.

Alas, no unit together anymore, as Edstrom will miss 2.5 to 3.5 months with an injury, a loss for both him and Rempe.

Without his linemate, Rempe will have to soldier on with the Rangers in playoff contention. That chemistry developed won't be replaced, and time will have its impact with regard to performance for Rempe.

Matt Rempe is devastated

Matt Rempe recently commented on the whole situation, and he was visibly frustrated and saddened by the injury to his teammate.

«Obviously this will be a tough little while for him, but I know his girlfriend is there for him, a lot of people are there for him.»

- Matt Rempe

Jimmy Vesey takes over at left wing for Edstrom, a consistent veteran who posted 26 points in a full season last year. The Rangers will rely on him to fill in, with a layoff for Edstrom likely lasting through a full playoff run.

We'd hate to see the "Rempire Towers" dismantled, specifically due to a long-term injury for Edstrom.

But in a best-case scenario, in a little over two months, he can return and start providing the size and presence of a unit with him and Rempe together.
