The Vancouver Canucks have been in the news plenty as of late due to the public feud between Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller, with the former even being called out by his General Manager as the speculation only intensifies.
At this point in time, the team are seemingly intent on keeping both players according to Elliotte Friedman, but over the past few weeks, it's becoming more and more clear that one or the other is simply going to have to go if this team has any chance of competing for a Stanley Cup.
While there's speculation around Miller, it's Pettersson that's gaining the most interest around the league, with Insider Frank Seravalli noting that there's many teams in the NHL looking to land the 26-year old star.
Indeed the Hurricanes did try and land Pettersson early in 2024, but ultimately they chose to extend Martin Necas instead, but now, with the team believing they're a great shot at the Cup in 2024/25, they may circle back around to him.
On top of that, it's been speculated that young teams like Chicago and Calgary could be interested, so while it's anyone's guess as to whether or not he gets traded and where he'll end up, it appears that this story isn't going away.
