Sometimes you act before you think. That was definitely the case with Colorado Avalanche goaltender Alexander Georgiev last night, and he's apologizing for it.
During a game against the Winnipeg Jets, Georgiev was scored on by Josh Morrissey with a slapshot through traffic. The main source of the traffic in front of Georgiev was teammate Sam Malinski. After the goal, you could see Georgiev wasn't happy with the screen, and gave Malinski a smack on the legs with his stick.
After the game, Georgiev admitted he was frustrated, and the stick smack shouldn't have happened.
"That's my bad. I shouldn't be frustrated. Take the game as it goes and not worry about that."
The Jets won the game 4-2.
