Alexander Radulov brings back his lunatic celly after first KHL goal
Unfortunately the NHL's flat salary cap has hindered the ability for certain players to retain NHL jobs. With no money remaining for depth players we've seen multiple players head overseas to continue their hockey careers. Alexander Radulov was unfortunately one of those players.
Alexander Radulov spent the last 5 NHL seasons in Dallas and his first two seasons there, were productive putting up 72 points the first three seasons in the Stars organization.
However afterward he stopped producing at a high level, despite a 34 point season in 2019-2020, he never recovered.
Radulov became a unrestricted free agent at the end of this NHL season and promptly signed with the KHL's AK Bars Kazan.
The 36-year-old signed a two-year deal there and has previously played with Ufa Salavat Yulayev and CSKA Moscow.
Drafted 15th overall by Nashville in 2004, Radulov has 368 points (144 goals and 224 assists) in 524 regular-season games with the Predators, Stars and Montreal Canadiens.
After scoring his first goal of the KHL season Radulov went into his old bag of tricks and pulled off his old "lunatic" celly showing off his true passion.
