The Chicago Blackhawks could have a lot of turnover on their roster this offseason with reports confirming that GM Kyle Davidson has most of the roster available for trade.

It appears as though there will also be turnover at the Head Coach position as well. Reports are confirming that Interim Head Coach Derek King will not be back behind the bench next season. King replaced Head Coach Jeremy Colliton on November 6, 2021 after the team's dismal 192 start to the season. The Blackhawks went 27-33-10 the rest of the way with King running the bench. Missing the playoffs for the fourth time in the last five seasons.

This was King's first opportunity coaching at the NHL level. He worked for the Rockford IceHogs the affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks for seven seasons with four of them as Head Coach before his chance at the NHL.

Chicago management have confirmed that a rebuild is on the horizon. The moves this Summer should indicate if they are thinking a full rebuild or another patch job.
