The Tampa Bay Lightning took game 3 over the New York Rangers to get their first win of the series. Tampa's gameplan was clear, it was to try and screen and get in Igor Shesterkin's way as much as possible. There were a few penalties called when Lightning players made contact with Shesterkin. But it wasn't enough to satisfy Rangers head coach Gerard Gallant.
Hopefully, when we talk to the supervisor tomorrow, they'll take care of some of that because it wasn't right.
During the post game press conference Gallant was asked about the Lightning players crowding Shesterkin's crease. Gallant was not happy with the way the game was called and believed their could have been even more penalties called. Gallant and the coaching staff will be bringing it up with the supervising official on Monday.
Coach Gallant did mention that it didn't seem to bother Shesterkin too much out there. This will be something to look at to see if the game will be called differently Tuesday night during Game 4.
