Midway through the 2nd period, Jesperi Kotkaniemi would get his opportunity to get get some payback. Kotkaniemi would hit the Charlie McAvoy along the boards, a play that left McAvoy in some discomfort.
With the Bruins up 5-1 late in the 3rd period. Brad Marchand would deliver a spear to Jesperi Kotkaneimi to exact a little retribution of his own. This would cause a big scrum with all players on the ice getting involved.
