Breaking News - Patrick Kane reportedly only willing to be traded to 2 teams
Patrick Kane's name has made its way through the headlines of late. The superstar forward is expected to approve a trade in the next 17 days that will see him traded out of Chicago. The move will mark the first time in a 16 year career that Kane would wear another NHL jersey.
Last week it was reported that Kane was frustrated after the New York Rangers opted to trade for Blue's forward Vladimir Tarasenko. It now becomes more apparent as to why, because apparently the Rangers were one of only two teams Kane was willing to accept a trade to.
Former NHL defenseman turned analyst Carlo Colaiacovo had the following to say.
Based on people I've talked to, if Patrick Kane were to accept a trade somewhere, the two teams on his list are the Rangers and the Leafs...
If this is the case it is likely his only remaining option will be to be dealt to the Maple Leafs. Kane has a long documented relationship with Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews, and the two have shared a desire to play with each other.
With the trade deadline looming it will be interesting to see if a deal gets done to send Kane to Chicago. The Blackhawks have also been connected to the Maple Leafs for Jake McCabe and Sam Lafferty, could we see a massive deadline deal that would help fill all the Maple Leafs holes?
