In a surprising move on the waiver wire today, it appears as if the Detroit Red wings have made a splash today by placing one of their goaltenders on waivers.
According to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, the Wings have placed Alex Nedeljkovic on waivers, take a look:
Nedeljkovic (DET) on waivers
Nedeljkovic, 27, has played in 9 games for the Wings this season, with a record of 2-4-2, a .880 save percentage and a 4.09 goals against average.
Nedeljkovic Signed a 2 year 6 million dollar deal on July 22nd 2021 and just has not lived up to the expectations.
It'll be interesting to see if anyone claims Nedeljkovic off of waivers, maybe a change of scenery is all he needs
Nick Caamano has also been placed on waivers by the Dallas Stars today, he hasn't played at all this season and hasn't played for Stars since the 20-21 NHL season.
Teams across the league have until 2pm tomorrow to place a claim on either of these players.
