Hockey Canada has been intrenched in multiple sexual assault scandals for some time now. We've seen hockey fans and parents alike turn on the powerhouse, most notably during the rescheduled World Juniors in early August.
Yesterday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called for a change in leadership of Hockey Canada when asked about the scandals HC faces and for the second time this summer, he didn't mince words.

It's fairly clear that both the government and Canadians in general have lost confidence in the leadership at Hockey Canada. And the longer it takes for Hockey Canada to realize that, the more difficulties they're going to face
This statement will be seen by some as ironic considering how Trudeau handles some things in his government, but I think it's the right move nonetheless.
Hockey Canada is going down on flames, making no changes for the time being. What are they waiting for? At this point, there's no damage control that can be done to save face. If nothing else, their stubbornness proves that the old boys club is alive and well inside Canada. Especially with their choice to protect their leadership group that includes president Scott Smith.
It's high time Hockey Canada makes a change. Whatever your stance on politics in Canada , I think we can all agree everyone involved in the coverups need to step down. Now the longer HC waits to make a change, the more irreversible the damage will be.
