Canadian team appears poised to sign the biggest free agent since Connor McDavid
Connor McDavid is the best hockey player in the world. He is also one of the best athletes in the NHL. For years McDavid had been viewed as the face of Canadian sports, but that might be about to change.
While the NHL season is in full swing, Major League Baseball on the other hand is in the middle of their offseason. While most big name players never see free agency in the NHL, the best player in the MLB, Shohei Ohtani is currently a free agent.
Now after weeks of speculation it appears that Ohtani may be poised to sign with the Toronto Blue Jays. Over the last few days odds have begun to shift in the Jays favor, however it now appears things have taken a major swing for the Jays.
It appears as if things come together as they're progressing that Ohtani could very well be Canada bound. This would be one of the biggest gets for any team in modern free agency let alone a Canadian team.
