Colorado Avalanche star hints that it might be time for a change
Colorado Avalanche star forward Mikko Rantanen commented about how team needs to turn its play around quickly if it wants to be in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Right now Colorado is six points behind Edmonton for the final wild card spot. Thankfully for the Avalanche they have four games on hand.
Rantanen is certainly correct regarding his comments and he's played very well this season There is not much room for error in an already competitive and tight Western Conference.
Considering all the injuries the club has faced this year, it's impressive they Colorado is not further out of playoff contention. Bowen Byram, Josh Manson, Val Nichushkin, and Gabriel Landeskog are all currently out of the lineup with injuries. So it won't be an easy task.
This season has been a true test of Colorado's depth this season. If they can get healthy and get into the playoffs, everyone knows how dangerous they are. While the Av's continue to battle the injury bug other players will have to step up in the meantime until the team can get healthy again.
