So far the opening night of the Stanley Cup Playoffs hasn't disappointed at all and the Series between the Edmonton Oilers and Los Angeles Kings has been one of the most competitive games of the night. The Edmonton Oilers who finished 2nd in the Pacific Division with a 49-27-6 record are hosting the Los Angeles Kings who were 44-27-11 respectfully this season.
With the Kings leading 2-0 late in the first period, Oilers' Star Connor McDavid decided to take the game into his own hands. McDavid picked up the puck in his own zone and weaved his way through the entire Kings lineup before scoring another highlight reel goal.
The McDavid goal made the game 2-1, but the Oilers couldn't carry that momentum. The Kings went in to win the game 4-3 to give themselves a 1-0 series lead.
