Connor Murphy runs Nick Suzuki and get absolutely dummied by Josh Anderson for his troubles
Earlier this year reports leaked that the Montreal Canadiens had been offered a first round pick for Josh Anderson. The Montreal Canadiens turned down the offer to much to everyone's surprise. Tonight Anderson showed exactly why the Canadiens value him so highly.
In the first period of tonight's game Chicago Blackhawks defender Connor Murphy takes a run at Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki. The hit appears to catch Suzuki in the head and neck area. But was deemed clean on the ice.
Anderson immediately stepped in for his teammate. Dropping the gloves with Murphy. A choice Murphy probably wishes he hadn't made.
Anderson made short work of Murphy landing a lot of unanswered shots before taking him to the ice. Both men were assessed 5 minute majors on the play for fighting. Anderson also received 2 minutes for instigating and a 10 minute misconduct.
