Could the Maple Leafs trade for Patrick Kane? Insider reveals their chances
The Chicago Blackhawks are looking towards the future. The team is built to contend for last overall and likely have their eyes set on Connor Bedard as a potential prize. From now until the trade deadline the focus will likely be on both Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews.
General Manager, Kyle Davidson has already made it clear that the future for both men will be decided by the players and not the franchise. With full no movement clauses both players can dictate their every move.
The regular season is set to start in about two weeks and ahead of the season, Insider Elliotte Friedman shared that he believes the Toronto Maple Leafs will definitely be in on Kane. But it'll take the Maple Leafs being good for Kane to have interest of his own.
I think if the Leafs are good, They have a real chance at getting him.
The Maple Leafs would have to get very creative to make the cap space work for this move, but a line of Matthews, Marner and Patrick Kane would easily be one of the best in the league. With Kane having already expressing interest in playing with Matthews this could be his opportunity.
