Darnell Nurse's big hit sends Jamie Benn flipping into Oilers' bench
The race for the playoffs and playoff seeding is being hotly contested in the Western Conference, despite the playoffs being a couple weeks away we are already seeing playoff style hockey. Games are getting more physical and teams are focusing more defensively. Last night's game was a perfect example of the elevated physicality.
During last night's game Edmonton Oilers' defenseman, Darnell Nurse did his absolute best to remind Jamie Benn that the game is physical. As Benn dumped the puck into the Oilers' zone, Nurse delivered one of the biggest checks of the season.
The hit sent Benn into the bench and the look on Connor McDavid's face was absolutely priceless as the Oilers on the bench gave it to Benn. The Oilers went on to win this game 5-2, giving themselves some breathing room for 2nd in the Pacific.
