Former NHLer saves life of league staff member during Kings game
A former NHLer saved the life of a league staff member during Los Angeles Kings game recently, something he should be commended for no doubt.
A former NHL forward recently came to the aid of a league staff member during a Los Angeles Kings game and saved his life.
According to TMZ, former NHLer Tony Hrkac helped a league employee who was choking on a pretzel in the press box at Crypto.com Arena back on January 4th. The league employee reportedly began choking and turning purple before Hrkac came to the rescue.
"We're told Hrkac sprung into action, administering the Heimlich maneuver on the choking person, who then ejected a piece of pretzel. The employee then began to breathe normally.
People who were on the scene believe Tony saved the choking person's life."
Hrkac, who now works as a scout with the Tampa Bay Lightning, had a lengthy NHL career with saw him makes stops in St. Louis, Quebec, San Jose, Chicago, Dallas, Edmonton, New York (Islanders), Anaheim and Atlanta, tallying 371 points in 758 games. While with the Dallas Stars in 1999, Hrkac won the Stanley Cup.
With the world full of negativity right now, it's great to hear about stories like this and it's incredible that Hrkac was able to help the league employee, who wishes to remain anonymous, saving his life.
