Ilya Sorokin robs Artemi Panarin blind on a save of the year candidate
The battle of New York is on in full force on Thursday evening between the Rangers and the Islanders and it was the scene of an absolutely larcenous stop by Isles netminder Ilya Sorokin.
After a pair of Isles had collided in the Rangers' zone in the 1st period, it created an odd man rush for the Rangers coming back the other way.
The Rangers trio of Frank Vatrano, Artemi Panarin and Adam Fox had a nice little tic-tac-toe play with Panarin having a clean look at a wide open net when THIS happened:
This could conceivably be the save of the year and one of the best of Sorokin's young career to bail the Isles out.
