Throwback - Claude Giroux fights Sidney Crosby
Tonight Claude Giroux plays his final game as a member of the Philadelphia Flyers, the team he's spent his entire career with. Coincidentally tonight is also his 1000th game as an NHL player. It's very rare for one player to play 1000 games in the NHL and it's even more rare for it to occur with one team.
Unfortunately Giroux was never able to capture that elusive Stanley Cup with the Flyers, but its likely he gets that opportunity this season as he's rumoured to be headed to either Florida or Colorado in the next few days. In celebration of Giroux's 1000th game and impending trade we have this awesome throwback to the incredible playoff series between the Penguins and Flyers.
