Jack Campbell had a rollercoaster of a season last year with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Campbell got off the an amazing start of the season, made the All-Star Game and then his numbers came crashing down due to injury. Luckily for Jack Campbell the NHL Goaltending market is extremely thin this year.

After the Toronto Maple Leafs acquired Matt Murray from the Ottawa Senators it became clear that Jack Campbell was going to need to find a new home. It looks like Campbell has found that home with the Edmonton Oilers.

According to Hockey Insider, Kevin Weekes the Edmonton Oilers have come to terms on an agreement with unrestricted free agent goaltender Jack Campbell.

The deal is reportedly worth $25,000,000 over 5 years with an annual salary of $5,000,000. Campbell was a first round pick, 11th overall by the Dallas Stars but didn't shine until he became a Toronto Maple Leaf.

Campbell went 31-9-6 with a 2.64 goals against average and .914 save percentage in 49 games this season.

With the re-signing of Evander Kane and the addition of Jack Campbell the Edmonton Oilers could definitely be a contender again next season.

According to Emily Kaplan of The Athletic after the season ended the Maple Leafs didn't make a single offer to retain Campbell's services.
