After the Edmonton Oilers allowed Evander Kane to speak to other NHL teams it appears he has realized that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Edmonton Oilers fans can rejoice as Kane has decided at the last moment to re-sign with the Edmonton Oilers.
Kane and the Edmonton Oiler reached an agreement late last night to sign a 4 year deal worth $20,500,000 deal with annual salary of $5,125,000.
Kane, 30, came to the Oilers after his contract was terminated by the San Jose Sharks. Kane had 22 goals and 17 assists in 43 games this season. He was also a huge part of the Oilers playoff run to the Western Conference Finals, scoring 13 goals and 4 assists in 15 playoff games.
Despite some interest from the Washington Capitals, it was reported that no other team but the Oilers was willing to offer a 4-year deal.
