John Tortorella already making enemies after comment about the Flyers team
John Tortorella has never been know as the type of coach to use tact when addressing a situation. Tortorella was once suspended for trying to fight another coach during intermission. That alone tells you what you need to know about his temper.
Torts is also known as a coach who demands the best effort and accountability from his teams every night. That's what the Philadelphia Flyers were looking for when they hired Tortorella. With those qualities also comes Tort's 'darkside', the side that doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut.
Today that side of Torts appeared again when he made comments about the Flyers locker room.
I have major concerns about what goes on in there. Before we even step on the ice, situations and standards and accountability in the room is forefront.
Usually coaches try and keep their opinions to themselves to try and avoid any outside noise, but that's not Torts. It will be interesting to see how he handles the passionate Flyers crowd while also managing his team and management.
