Referees and linesmen don't get enough credit for just how tough they truly are. Last night in the game between the Los Angeles Kings and Ottawa Senators that was on full display when linesman, David Brisebois took a hard dump in off the back of his helmet. The play occured late in the 3rd period and left Brisebois rattled.

With the Senators trailing 5-2, Mathieu Joseph tried to dump the puck deep into the King's zone. Unfortunately for Brisebois he was right in the line of fire. Luckily though Brisebois was able to turn his head at the very last second and avoid the puck striking him in the face.

Brisebois was shaken up, but after being checked out by the Senators medical staff he was cleared to continue to officiate. Good to see Brisebois take this like a champ and keep his head up.
