Juuse Saros is having the best season of his career. He is currently in the conversation for the Vezina Trophy, posting 38 wins with .918 save percentage and a 2.64 goals against average.
During the third period of Tuesday's game against the Calgary Flames, Saros left with a lower body injury. He skated to the bench during a stoppage in play and wasn't seen from the rest of the night. The most concerning note is that Saros appeared unable to put any weight on his left leg.
David Rittich came in for relief.
This is a huge loss for the Predators, especially with the playoffs starting in a week. We will continue to to monitor for updates.
